Looking for a family physician that will provide full scope of practice which will include primary care (office practice), as well as inpatient and emergency medicine. Team player to work with the two local physicians as well as the medical team within the community.

Boyle is located 160 km north of Edmonton on Highway 63 at a terrain ‘pinch point’ (lakes & hills!) where, in a 10km wide swath, the main highway to Ft McMurray, the CN Railway to Ft McMurray, and 4 pipelines all come together. The population of Boyle including the catchment is 3550.

Recreational facilities include the arena that has been recently upgraded and boasts a beautiful mezzanine and viewing area where people can sit comfortably and watch the activities on the ice surface. Boyle has a strong commitment to its youth and this is shown by the busy schedule kept by Boyle Minor Hockey. They also have an active “Old Timers” hockey team and other recreational hockey opportunities. Boyle has a Curling club that hosts various bonspiels throughout the winter months.

The Community Centre comfortably seats 400 people in the main area and houses both the local playschool and their public library, along with the Millview Recreation Complex which features an area and curling rink

Summer recreation within the Village includes ball diamonds, skateboard park, volleyball sand pits and tennis courts. For outdoor enthusiasts one doesn’t have to travel far to enjoy all that our area has to offer. Golfing at Skeleton Lake Golf and Country Club as well as Northern Ridge Golf & RV Resort. Swimming, boating, water skiing, trail riding, bike and hiking paths and camping facilities are available at Long Lake Provincial Park, Hope Lake, Skeleton Lake and North Buck Lake, all just a short drive from town. Flat Lake, located just a few miles west of the Village, offers some of the best bird watching in Alberta.

Winter offers opportunities for ice fishing, cross country and downhill skiing and snowmobile rallies within the immediate area, and with our Arena and Curling Rink always busy, one never has to travel too far to find activities.

Boyle has an upgraded K-12 school with excellent teachers and education assistants as well as Online and Distance Education through the Athabasca University.
