AHS is recruiting for this position.
It is expected that the incumbent will be appointed to a full-time Clinical Faculty position at the Richmond Road Diagnostic and Treatment Centre in the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Medicine at the University of Calgary.
Qualifications include an MD, FRCPC Rheumatology (or equivalent sub-specialist certification), and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Academic appointment ranking will be based on qualifications and experience.
The successful candidate must have a strong background in all aspects of Rheumatology, and there is the expectation that he/she will participate in the General Rheumatology Program at the University of Calgary. The successful candidate will have demonstrated clinical expertise in the comprehensive management of patients with musculoskeletal disease in an ambulatory care setting. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed at least one year of additional training relevant to the practice of academic rheumatology, including but not limited to vasculitis and transitional care. Accordingly, this position will include protected time for scholarly activities to ensure a rewarding and fulfilling career. Excellence in teaching is a must as candidate will be expected to participate in programs in the undergraduate as well as postgraduate teaching activities within the Section and Department.
Remuneration will be through an attractive remuneration and benefits package through the University of Calgary-Alberta Health Services Alternate Relationship Plan.
