AHS is recruiting for this position.
The Department of Surgery, Alberta Health Services-Calgary Zone and the University of Calgary invite applications for a Fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to work at the Rockyview General Hospital.
Teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level will be required. Participation in research related to clinical outcomes or medical education is expected. Committee duties will be expected as the need arises. Leadership in Quality Improvement within the Calgary Zone is also an expectation of the position. The successful candidate will take General Surgery call according to the site and Alberta Health Services policies.
The successful individual will be expected to have an academic appointment with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine in the Department of Surgery.
Qualifications include an MD, a Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in General Surgery with additional fellowship training in colorectal surgery and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Preference will be given to candidates who have additional training in Quality Improvement (Masters’ Degree preferred).
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
