AHS is recruiting for this position.
Duties include providing clinical service in the Section of Neurology and clinical teaching, including inpatient coverage and call, but substantial time will be protected for research.
Qualifications include an MD plus an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in relevant research methodology, Royal College specialist certification in Neurology, clinical fellowship training in neuromuscular disease, and eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta. Demonstrated commitment to research in areas related to neuromuscular disease is required. Ideal applicants will have a track record of research in clinical trial design and methodology. However, candidates with other research interests are also encouraged to apply. Desired candidates must have 10 or more peer-reviewed papers, with the majority of publications as senior or 1st author.
The candidate must be fellowship trained in Neuromuscular Disease. We are seeking an individual with proven clinical excellence and a record of working well within a team.
The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Must read, write and speak English.

$360,000 to $460,000 per annum paid by Clinical Neurosciences Academic Alternative Relationship Plan
Specialist On Call rate is approximately $432.00 per day
The Practitioner is responsible for purchasing health and insurance benefits.
Continuing Medical Education reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs. Each eligible Practitioner receives a $2,656 annual allotment which can be carried forward for three years.
