The appropriate individual needs to have experience with children and young adults whom have a diagnosis of autism or other developmental disorder. They need to have experience working with a team of allied health specialists and have strength in academic work in children with complex needs and health systems.

MD, FRCPC. At least 5 years of experience working with children and young adults with complex mental health needs whom would have a diagnosis of intellectual disability

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.

Would be appropriate for the Academic Medicine Funding Plan. Approximately 350-400K

Benefits:

The Practitioner is responsible for purchasing health and insurance benefits.

The AMA, through the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program, reimburses eligible physicians for costs incurred with regard to the maintenance and enhancement of knowledge, skills and competency.

The annual allotment of $2656 carries forward for three years but expires on March 31 of the fourth year if not used.
