The Department of Surgery and the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services invite applications for a Fellowship trained Vascular Surgeon to work in the Peter Lougheed Centre, one of four adult acute care centres in Calgary, Alberta.

Successful candidate is expected to work collaboratively with Cardiac Surgery to develop the aortic surgery program. Candidates will have an academic interest and actively participate in teaching and research. The successful applicant will take call according to Alberta Health Services and Section policies.

The successful individual will be expected to have an academic appointment with the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicine, and Department of Surgery.

Qualifications include an MD, a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Vascular Surgery and eligibility for licensure in the province of Alberta. The candidate will have extensive experience with Endovascular and Open Surgical techniques as well as an additional Fellowship in Advanced Aortic Surgery including Thoracic Aortic Surgery.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.
