The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism in partnership with Alberta Health Services, invites applications for a part time clinical endocrinologist to be based at the University of Alberta Hospital / Kaye Edmonton Clinic. Located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the Faculty has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions.

The successful candidate will have an MD degree, or equivalent. He or she will be eligible to be certification in Endocrinology & Metabolism with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada. As well, he or she will be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).

Key accountabilities of the part time clinical endocrinologist will include, but will not be limited to assessment and management of type 1 diabetes patients participating in the provincial insulin pump program, as well as the care of endocrine patients in the out-patient and in-patient setting. It is expected that the candidate will have significant experience in the management of insulin pumps and/or other advanced technologies for diabetes.

The successful applicant will be expected to apply for a Clinical Academic Colleague Appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

Remuneration will be based on the Fee-for-Service (FFS) schedule.
