Covenant Health, in partnership with Alberta Health Services invites applications for a General Practitioner with an interest in Mental Health to join the Department of Addictions & Mental Health at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

As a major provider in Alberta’s integrated health system, the Covenant family (Covenant Health, Covenant Care, and Covenant Living) works with Alberta Health Services and community partners to positively influence the health of Albertans through a broad range of programs and services in our hospitals, health centres and continuing care centres. Alberta Health Services is Canada’s largest and only provincial health region providing services for a population of over 4.2 million people.

The successful candidate will provide the general medical care for 70 psychiatry inpatients on three acute units at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital. Applicants must hold an MD or equivalent, have an interest in Mental Health/Psychiatry, and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. This individual must have obtained certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) College of Family Physicians of Canada. Hours of service are negotiable. The position could be shared with a second family practitioner.

Remuneration will be based on the Fee-for-Service (FFS) schedule.
